This free webinar gives you extremely valuable insights about this year’s travel trends, as well as about cancelation policies, pricing and availability settings.
On a side note: Cancelation policy
As you can see from the trend that is happening right now, Airbnb is receiving more bookings from listings that have activated a flexible cancellation policy. This is shown by the blue line.
There is a distinct gap in bookings between Flexible, and moderate or strict policies. This is mainly due to guests looking for flexibility in bookings as the times ahead are uncertain, and they are unlikely to book anywhere that will not give them flexibility.
Now, since guests can now also filter to show accommodation while searching that offers cancellation flexibility, by using the cancellation flexibility filter, it is highly recommended that you adopt a flexible cancellation policy in order to keep up with the current trends in the market.
It may also interest you to know that currently, the number of actual cancellations across all types of policies are almost identical, so no single policy currently has a lower percentage of cancellations.
